Bruce Wayne has retired as Batman, but the Joker has returned with a ton of tech-stealing cronies in an attempt to destroy Gotham City. The game operates as a side scrolling beat 'em up like Final Fight and Streets of Rage, which by the time this one was released was seen as a tired and repetitive format. The resulting reviews of this game were negative due to its simplistic gameplay, made worse by the lack of a second player option, but the game lives on as a cult favorite.
