Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong return to Donkey Kong Country to defeat the wicked King K. Rool as he has kidnapped some of their closest friends! Other playable characters become unlocked as they are rescued, adding some new mechanics to the classic DK and Diddy Kong moves. The game will be forever remembered by one of the worst video game songs produced in the opening "DK Rap", and is notorious for its item collecting game system which can get a bit tedious. Despite these small shortcomings, Donkey Kong 64 is largely regarded as one of the best 3D platformers put out for the Nintendo 64, and has a pretty fun multiplayer mode to boot!

Controls:

Control Stick - Move
A Button - Jump, Swim fast (underwater), Shoot up with jetpack (Diddy Kong), Shoot from Barrel (DK)
B Button - Attack, pick up barrel/TNT, take picture, special charge attack (press and hold, then release), swim slow (underwater)
Z Button - Crouch, use Bananaporter, dive (in water), Hover in place (with Jetpack, Diddy Kong only).
Z Button + Control Stick Directional - Crawl
Z + A Button - Backflip
Z + B Button - Chimpy Charge (Diddy Kong only); Primate Punch (Chunky Kong only)
Z + A Button + Control Stick Directional - Long Jump
Z + B Button + Control Stick Directional - Orangstand (Lanky Kong only) Left C - Camera Rotate Left
Right C - Camera Rotate Right
Up C - Switch to first person view
Down C - Changes camera distance from player
Z + Left C - Takes out shooter
Z + Right C - Throws orange grenade

Z + Down C - Takes out camera
R Button - Switches camera view to behind player
START Button - Pause the game, display progress menu
