For the first installment of the Mortal Kombat franchise to appear on the Nintendo 64, Medway chose an updated version of Mortal Kombat 3 (the second update available following Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3) which included playable characters Raiden and Baraka as they appeared in Mortal Kombat 2. Trilogy introduced the aggression bar which allowed the fighter to build up power and perform more deadly moves later in matches as they landed hits or were blocked by opponents. As fighters go, this is one of the greats, with all the blood and gore promised by the Mortal Kombat franchise.

B Button - Duck
Left C - Camera Rotate Left
Right C - Camera Rotate Right
Up C - Switch camera view
R Button - Switches camera view to behind player
START Button - Pause the game, options menu
