Building on the success of other 3D platformers, the Goemon series was brought from Japan into the global market. The result was a unique storyline and backdrop with plenty of imagery straight from Japan. For the most part, this is part of the strength of Mystical Ninja and Goemon's Great Adventure, but a few things, like humor, get a little lost in translation. What would be a funny scene in Japan, just comes across as crazy when translated to English. Overall, Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon is a fun game despite any issues that appear to make it geared towards a Japanese audience, and should be enjoyed globally as it was intended.
